Front bicycle rack made especially for bicycles with a suspension front fork

Normally we wouldn't recommend carrying luggage on a bicycle with a front suspension. However, this front luggage rack is designed so that it can be used on bicycles with front suspension, as well as with any bicycles with V brakes.
The STECO V-Brake rack mounts directly to the V-brake bosses on many bikes. A third mounting point is at the top of the fork crown above the tire. Because all three of these mounting points are always rigidly connected to one another on the forks, this rack works even with suspension forks, as you can see in the additional photos.
Adjustable for wheel sizes from 16" to 28", so will work on many folding bikes and children's bikes as well as on adult bikes.
This rack is rated for a maximum of 10 kg load, and has an area of 18 cm x 20 cm. It is finished with a high-quality gloss black powder coat.
For well over 80 years, Steco has produced a wide range of very strong bicycle racks used by generations of Dutch people to carry a wide range of cargo and people. this very conservative company rates this rack as having a capacity of 10 kg.
Cantilever brakes: This rack can also be fitted to many bicycles with cantilever brakes and some people use it in that way, but there is a possibility of conflict between the brake cable running vertically from the brake and the bracket which attaches the rear of the rack to the top of the forks. It takes careful adjustment to avoid this problem and may result in a less effective front brake. We, therefore, don't guarantee the rack for use with cantilever brakes. Note that the rack does not conflict in any way with V-brakes, where the vertical cable does not run along the center line of the bike.
